The Circulation & Distribution Director is responsible for getting The RTC Directory printed directory into the hands of our Users. Our in-house Circulation & Distribution Department oversees the physical magazine’s distribution. The directory is labeled with mailing addresses and bar codes and presorted for second-class mail.

The Circulation & Distribution Director must know the requirements of the U.S. Postal Service and meet these specifications to ensure a cost-efficient and timely delivery. The Circulation & Distribution Department maintains records of our subscribers and their subscription status and is responsible for fulfilling the agreements.

For single-copy sales, the Circulation & Distribution Department will work with a local distributor to get the printed issues to retailers. We will ship copies to wholesalers throughout the territory provided by the distributor. A wholesaler will record the quantities that they send to retailers such as supermarkets and convenience stores in their area. Any unsold copies will be returned to the wholesaler, who notifies the distributor. The distributor will provide sales figures for NEW HEIGHTS BMC MEDIA (the publisher).


The initial staff is expected to assume multiple roles while undertaking multiple responsibilities. Your duties may include:

  • Overseeing and managing all Traffic personnel.
  • Overseeing most day to day operations of the Circulation & Distribution Department.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of logging orders, routing, shipping, and tracking of outbound orders
  • Responsible for fulfilling all subscription agreements.
  • Ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company rules.
  • Designing distribution routing
  • Assisting Production Manager with organizing the printed directory delivery into the warehouse.
  • Responsible for developing processes to minimize transportation cost and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Directing and overseeing transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency.
  • Directing the traffic operations to contact centers in different locations.
  • Assigning circulation and delivery assignments in existing and new territories.
  • Supervising employees who make deliveries to and from specified locations.
  • Overseeing all transportation activities including route delivery and account processing.
  • Handling any delivery inconsistencies or delays.
  • Maintaining all U.S. Postal Service requirements and meeting specifications to ensure a cost-efficient and timely delivery.
  • Ensuring the printed directory is labeled with mailing addresses and bar codes and presorted for second-class mail.
  • Working with all local distributors to get the printed issues to retailers for single-copy sales.
