The Merchant Services Provider will function as the intermediary between banks, our business, and our customers. This allows us to confidently accept our customers’ preferred form of payment. Our Merchant Services Provider will ensure payments arriving securely in our bank account. When a customer swipes a card, the Merchant Services Provider moves the customer’s funds to our bank account typically within 48 hours. Essential services expected to be offered by the merchant services provider include: Accepting payments from our customers via credit, debit, and electronic payments allowing for seamless transactions. 

The Merchant Services Provider is expected to also help us purchase or rent credit card terminals and mobile swipers. Our online business seamlessly integrates with our eCommerce store, and virtual terminals lets us accept payments online or key in payments over the phone. Our Merchant Services Provider must assist in finding the right payment processing services for our business. 

The Merchant Services Provider must also provide customer management, inventory systems, and payment reporting. Through Payment Security, the Merchant Services Provider is expected to help us and our clients conduct business transactions safely and securely. The Merchant Services Provider must also help us ensure PCI compliance, meaning cardholder data stored by our business, including names and card numbers, is secure. 

In addition, the Merchant Services Provider will maintain PCI compliance on the payment end of our business. This includes tokenizing payment information and protecting our business by putting fraud prevention measures in place. The Merchant Services Provider will provide the technology and payment data information our business needs to optimize operations. 


▪ Facilitating credit card processing development and assist in providing other important services for our client businesses. 

▪ Describing and representing any customer issues / challenges. 

▪ Liaising with the customer financing product team to provide feedback and input from customers 

▪ Overseeing credit, debit, and electronic payment acceptance from our customers – allowing for seamless transactions. 

▪ Managing PCI processing compliance – securely storing payment information, keeping your customer data safe. 

▪ Providing our business with technology to track payments, understand business data, and collect outstanding invoices. 

▪ Providing customer management, inventory systems, and payment reporting 

▪ Weekly & Monthly reporting on overall business performance. 

▪ Tracking & analyzing metrics to determine opportunities for growth and improvement. 

▪ Working closely with internal partners to create and maintain a leadership position for any merchant processing requirements. 

▪ Defining and documenting business processes related to all aspects of merchant services 

(sales support, merchant applications, on-boarding, chargebacks, technical issues, fraud prevention etc.). 


▪ Extensive experience in merchant services acquiring a plus 

▪ Strong experience with card networks and payment brand rules and regulations 

▪ Strong ability to analyze opportunities and problems, then recommend solutions 

▪ Ability to communicate effectively and confidently (both verbal and written)
